I am a trauma-informed clinician passionate about supporting victims and survivors of sexual and relationship violence. I began my clinical experience at a non-profit organization which serves people impacted by intimate partner violence, sexual assault and stalking, where I gained invaluable training and knowledge regarding crisis intervention, healthy relationships, the effects of trauma on the body and brain, and the treatment of trauma.

One of my main goals in my work with clients is to provide a safe, supportive space to explore their thoughts, feelings, and other impacts of the traumatic events they’ve experienced. I can provide psychoeducation regarding trauma, interpersonal violence, and the neurobiology of trauma, to help clients determine their next steps toward healing. I can also assist clients in developing a coping skill “toolbox,” so they may incorporate additional coping skills into their healing journey.

My therapeutic approach is eclectic, which means I use different techniques and interventions from various therapy styles, so I can best meet the needs of each client. What I’ve found most helpful in working with clients, is my firm belief that each person is the expert in their own life. I understand the complexity and nuance that comes with being a victim or survivor of interpersonal violence, and I respect each person’s unique circumstances and autonomy.  I feel so honored to get to do the work that I do with clients.

Outside of therapy, I spend most of my time chasing after my two kids and my dog. I also enjoy listening to audiobooks, listening to podcasts and attempting to stay awake so I can watch tv shows with my partner after the kids are asleep.
