GET TO KNOW ROBYN.

Most of us are carrying stories about ourselves that we've never stopped to question.

Some of those stories are spoken to us directly. Others develop quietly over time through our experiences, our relationships, and the ways we've learned to make sense of the world. Before we know it, they become our normal. We stop asking whether they're true because they're simply the lens through which we've learned to see ourselves.

Some of those stories helped us survive. The question is whether they're helping us live.

Therapy gives us the opportunity to slow down and understand where our stories came from.

We can question the ones that no longer fit, grieve what they once protected, and choose which stories still belong.

When the stories we've believed become shame, we stop seeing ourselves as a whole person and start believing that we are the problem. We lose sight of our own humanity. When that happens, it's difficult to believe we're worthy of the compassion and acceptance we long for.

Because the goal isn't to become someone else. It's to stop believing we ever had to.

Whether you're coming to therapy on your own or with your partner, it's important that you know my role. I'll come alongside you as we make sense of your story together. We'll slow things down and notice what's happening beneath the surface. We'll create space for curiosity instead of judgment, compassion instead of shame, and the opportunity to embrace yourself more fully. I won't rush you through the process or tell you who you should be. I'll simply help you stay with yourself long enough to begin trusting what you already know.

Therapy asks you to be honest, vulnerable, and willing to share parts of yourself that may not have been safe to share before. I don't take that trust for granted. My hope is to continue to earn it, session by session, through the way I show up.

This process isn't about becoming someone new. It's about understanding yourself more deeply, accepting yourself more fully, and discovering the freedom that comes from no longer believing you have to be anyone other than yourself.

That's where hope lives. That's where all possibilities exist.
